Students in Patna rallied on Tuesday demanding the removal of negative marking between PT and Mains and a 100% domicile quota in the BPSC TRE‑4 exam.
On Tuesday, a large gathering of BPSC TRE‑4 aspirants took to the streets of Patna, voicing several grievances against the current exam framework. The protesters called for the elimination of negative marking that separates the Preliminary Test (PT) from the Mains, arguing that it penalises candidates unfairly.
In addition to the marking issue, the students demanded a 100% domicile reservation, insisting that the state should prioritise Bihar residents for civil service positions. The rally grew more intense after Rohini, a student representative, accused the Bihar government of pursuing a repressive policy that undermines merit and fairness.
Police presence was noted, but there were no reports of injuries or arrests. Authorities have not yet issued an official response, and the demonstration ended without a clear resolution, leaving the demands pending further dialogue.
