The second phase of Ajmer district’s urban local body elections will be held on September 11, with voters choosing among 679 candidates for the Ajmer Municipal Corporation, Pushkar Municipality and Kishangarh Municipal Council.
Ajmer district will go to the polls on September 11 for the second round of its urban local body elections. Voters in three municipal entities – Ajmer Municipal Corporation, Pushkar Municipal Council and Kishangarh Municipal Council – will cast their ballots on the same day.
More than half a million registered electors are expected to participate, deciding the fate of 679 candidates contesting across the three bodies. The large voter base reflects the significance of these elections for local governance.
The elected representatives will be responsible for essential civic functions such as water supply, sanitation, road maintenance and urban planning in their respective jurisdictions.
