Officials Inspect Site for New Maulana Azad School Building
Jalahalli, Sept. 16: A team of officials led by Praveen Kumar, District Officer of the Department of Minority Welfare, conducted a site inspection on Wednesday in connection with the construction of a new building for the Government Maulana Azad School in Jalahalli.
The officials inspected a 100×100 ft site reserved for civic amenities in Survey No. 131//, located in the layout of Gopalakrishna, son of Venkobarao Meti, under Jalahalli Gram Panchayat limits.
Earlier, a site inspection had been conducted at the layout in Survey No. 132/2/2 for construction of the school building. At that time, the site was considered as the school offered classes only from 6th to 10th standard. However, as the school has now been upgraded as a KPS (Karnataka Public School), District Officer Praveen Kumar stated that the earlier site in Survey No. 132/2/2 would not be sufficient considering the increased number of students and the infrastructure requirements.
Against this backdrop, the 100×100 ft site reserved for civic amenities in Survey No. 131// was inspected. Praveen Kumar said that the site was found suitable for construction of the new school building.
He further stated that after the Gram Panchayat officials submit the necessary documents related to the site to the department, steps will be taken to commence construction of the new school building within one month.
Taluk Minority Welfare Officer Narasimha, Gram Panchayat PDO Lakshmi Ashtagi, Secretary Ayyappa, Headmaster Ramesh Myageri, community leaders Hussain Nashi, Imam Saab and Maktum, organization leaders Shabbir, Mahalinga DoddamanI, Maunesh Dasar, Gram Panchayat member Abdul Rahiman and others were present.
