NRI Husband Booked

A case has been registered against an NRI husband and his mother in Mohali for allegedly harassing the wife for dowry and abandoning her after marriage. The wife had married the NRI husband in a lavish ceremony costing over one crore rupees. However, soon after the marriage, the husband and his mother started harassing her for more dowry. The husband later left for America and changed his phone number, leaving the wife stranded. The wife has now filed a complaint against her husband and mother-in-law, leading to the registration of a case against them.
