Rumors that Nothing, the smartphone brand founded by former OnePlus CEO, would shut down have spread online, but the company has clarified that the claims are false.

Rumors that the Indian smartphone maker Nothing would shut down have been circulating on social media after the recent shutdown of OnePlus. The company, founded by former OnePlus CEO Carl Pei, has issued a statement on its official X account denying the claims and calling them "fake news". Nothing has not announced any layoffs, closure of its headquarters or discontinuation of its product line. The brand, which launched its first phone Nothing Phone (1) in 2022, continues to develop new devices and software updates. The company’s response comes as a precaution to quell misinformation and reassure investors and customers that it remains operational.
