To ease travel before the festive season, North‑West Railway has introduced three unreserved special trains on the Delhi‑Reengus route.
North‑West Railway announced the addition of three unreserved special trains running between Delhi and Reengus as the festive period approaches. The move is aimed at relieving congestion on the busy corridor and providing extra seats for holiday‑bound passengers.
The new services will operate on the existing Delhi‑Reengus line, covering key stations across Haryana and Rajasthan before terminating at Reengus in the Jaipur district. By offering unreserved accommodation, the railway hopes to accommodate spontaneous travelers and pilgrims without the need for advance reservations.
This initiative forms part of a broader effort by the zone to boost capacity ahead of major celebrations. Alongside the Delhi‑Reengus specials, the weekly Udaipur‑Yog Nagri Rishikesh train has also seen its operating period extended, underscoring the focus on regional connectivity during the season.
Passengers can board the special trains on a first‑come, first‑served basis, with tickets available at station counters. Railway officials expect the additional trips to ease crowding on regular services and improve overall travel experience during the holidays.
