NMC Moves to Online-Only Complaints, Discontinues Paper and Email Submissions

The National Medical Commission has announced that all complaints and appeals by doctors will now be filed exclusively through its online portal, ending the use of email and paper forms.

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has introduced a new rule that will restrict the filing of complaints and appeals by doctors to its online portal only. The change eliminates the previous options of submitting documents via email or paper forms.

Under the new arrangement, any grievance or appeal related to medical licensing, disciplinary actions, or professional conduct must be lodged through the NMC’s digital platform. The commission cited the need to streamline processes and reduce administrative delays as the main reason for the shift.

Doctors who wish to file a complaint will now need to register on the NMC portal, complete the required online forms, and attach supporting documents in electronic format. The commission has urged all medical professionals to familiarize themselves with the new procedure to avoid any processing delays.

The policy is expected to take effect immediately, with the NMC providing guidance on how to navigate the portal. The commission has also announced that it will maintain a helpdesk to assist users who face technical difficulties.
