NHAI launches online Local Pass for private vehicles within 20 km of toll plazas in Madhya Pradesh

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has digitised the process of obtaining a Local Pass for private vehicles operating near toll plazas in Madhya Pradesh. Earlier, applicants had to submit physical documents at designated offices, a procedure that often involved travel and waiting time. Under the new system, owners residing within a 20‑kilometre radius of any toll plaza can file their applications directly from home using the Rajmarg Yatra mobile application. The online portal accepts all required documents in digital form, eliminating the need for paper submissions. NHAI officials said the move aims to streamline traffic management and provide convenience to commuters while maintaining regulatory oversight.
