MPEB Officials Arrested for Bribery in Jabalpur

Two senior officials of the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Board (MPEB) were apprehended by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) in Jabalpur while accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000.
Officials from the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) in Jabalpur have arrested an Additional Chief Engineer and an Executive Engineer of the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Board (MPEB).
The two MPEB officials, identified as Additional Chief Engineer Prahlad Marskole and Executive Engineer Chandrashekhar Mehra, were reportedly caught red-handed accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000.
This payment was allegedly demanded in exchange for facilitating the clearance of a contractor's bill amounting to Rs 10 lakh.
