The Madhya Pradesh Public Works Department (PWD) has unveiled a comprehensive road master plan aimed at significantly reducing traffic pressure across the state. Over the next five years, the department intends to construct approximately 29,682 kilometers of new and improved road networks.

This extensive development initiative represents a substantial investment, with an estimated expenditure of Rs 88,000 crore. The project is designed to enhance connectivity and facilitate smoother transportation throughout Madhya Pradesh, addressing the growing demands of traffic volume.

The master plan focuses on creating both new roadways and upgrading existing infrastructure to meet modern standards. This undertaking is expected to bolster economic activity and improve the overall quality of life for residents by ensuring better access to various regions within the state.
