Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has asked the Congress to clarify its stance on the Uniform Civil Code. The committee formed to look into the UCC has submitted its final report to the government.
The Chief Minister's statement comes after the committee on Uniform Civil Code submitted its final report to the government. Dr. Yadav has been pushing for the implementation of the UCC in the state. He has now asked the Congress to clarify its stance on the issue. The Congress has been criticized by the BJP for its ambiguous stand on the UCC. The implementation of the UCC has been a long-standing demand of the BJP. The party has promised to implement the UCC in its election manifesto.
