Himachal Pradesh MLA Sudhir Sharma has called for an explanation from state authorities regarding the stalled development projects in Dharamsala, citing delays that are affecting local infrastructure.
In a recent assembly session, Himachal Pradesh MLA Sudhir Sharma questioned the state government over the prolonged delays in several development projects slated for Dharamsala. The projects, which include road rehabilitation, water supply upgrades, and the construction of a new community center, were originally scheduled for completion in 2023.
Sharma demanded a detailed report on the reasons behind the setbacks and requested a revised timeline for the projects’ completion. He highlighted that the delays are causing inconvenience to residents and hindering tourism, a key economic driver for the region.
The MLA also urged the Chief Minister’s office to expedite the procurement processes and to ensure that the contractors adhere to the agreed milestones. He assured his constituents that he would keep the assembly informed of any progress.
The government has yet to release an official statement addressing Sharma’s concerns, but the MLA’s remarks have brought renewed attention to the need for timely execution of public works in the capital district.
