Rumours are circulating that Tamil actor Dhanush may join the AIADMK, though no official statement has been made.
A wave of speculation has emerged on social media and entertainment portals suggesting that popular Tamil actor Dhanush could be considering a move into politics by aligning with the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK). The chatter intensified after a News18 Tamil segment highlighted the possibility, prompting fans and political observers to debate the actor's potential role in the party.
Dhanush, known for his versatile film career and recent forays into production, has not issued any public comment regarding the rumors. Likewise, AIADMK leaders have remained silent, offering no confirmation or denial of any overtures made to the star.
Analysts note that AIADMK, a dominant force in Tamil Nadu politics, has historically welcomed film personalities into its fold, but the lack of an official statement means the story remains unverified. The speculation reflects a broader trend of celebrities being courted for political influence in the state.
Until a formal announcement is made, the narrative remains speculative, and both Dhanush’s camp and the party are expected to address the rumors if they gain further traction.
