The Mizoram vehicle owners’ body has entered into a trade agreement with Myanmar groups, aiming to boost cross‑border vehicle commerce.
The vehicle owners’ association of Mizoram has formally signed a trade pact with several groups from neighboring Myanmar. The agreement, announced by the association, is intended to facilitate the movement of vehicles, spare parts and related services across the two borders.
Both parties said the pact will open new market opportunities for dealers and service providers in the region, potentially increasing revenue for local businesses and improving supply chains.
Officials from the Mizoram association highlighted that the deal aligns with broader efforts to strengthen economic ties with Southeast Asian neighbours, while Myanmar representatives expressed optimism about deeper commercial cooperation.
The signing marks one of the few formalized cross‑border trade arrangements involving a state‑level vehicle owners’ body, signalling a growing interest in regional automotive trade.
