A 15‑year‑old activist of the Centre for Justice and Peace (CJP) in Delhi has lodged a complaint after a stone‑pelting incident outside her home. The minor claims that several stones were hurled at her residence, causing damage to the property and raising concerns about her personal safety.
The activist, who wishes to remain anonymous, stated that the stones were thrown from a nearby street and that the incident occurred in the early evening. She reported that the stones landed on the front façade of her house, leaving visible dents.
Following the incident, she approached the local police station and requested a security detail to guard her home. The activist said she feared further attacks and wanted protection for herself and her family.
Police officials have acknowledged the complaint and said they will investigate the matter. They also mentioned that they will assess the need for a protective presence at the activist’s residence while the investigation is underway.
