The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration has suspended the operating licence of Parle Agro’s warehouse after discovering expired Frooti drink bottles, citing violations of food safety norms.

The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has taken the step of suspending the operating licence of a Parle Agro warehouse after a routine inspection uncovered bottles of the popular Frooti drink that had expired. The FDA cited non‑compliance with food safety regulations as the reason for the action.

During the inspection, officials seized a batch of expired Frooti products that had been stored in the warehouse for an extended period. The seizure was part of a broader effort by the state agency to enforce strict adherence to shelf‑life and labeling standards for packaged beverages.

The suspension means that the warehouse will be unable to receive or distribute any Parle Agro products until the issue is resolved and the licence is reinstated. The FDA has indicated that the company must demonstrate corrective measures before the licence can be restored.

Parle Agro has not yet issued a public statement regarding the suspension. The company is expected to cooperate with the FDA and address the safety concerns raised in the inspection.
