Madhya Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment Draws 7.51 Lakh Applicants for 7,500 Posts

The Madhya Pradesh police has received 7.51 lakh applications for 7,500 constable vacancies, a drop of about 1.25 lakh from last year, with the online exam slated to start on Nov 19 across 13 cities.
The Madhya Pradesh Police announced that 7.51 lakh candidates have applied for the 7,500 constable (आरक्षक) positions advertised this year. The recruitment drive aims to fill the vacancies across the state’s police force.
Compared with the previous cycle, the number of applicants has fallen by roughly 1.25 lakh, dropping from 9.76 lakh submissions recorded last year. Officials attribute the decline to a combination of stricter eligibility criteria and a more targeted outreach.
The selection process will begin with an online written examination scheduled to commence on 19 November. Candidates from across the state can appear at designated test centres in 13 cities, as specified by the police department.
Successful candidates will undergo subsequent physical and document verification stages before being appointed as constables, reinforcing the police cadre ahead of upcoming security initiatives.
