The Madhya Pradesh High Court has allowed students from 189 eligible nursing colleges to appear for exams and has ordered the release of pending results, while imposing a fine on colleges with duplicate faculty listings.
The Madhya Pradesh High Court issued an order on Wednesday allowing students from 189 nursing colleges that met eligibility criteria to sit for their scheduled examinations. The court also directed the concerned authorities to publish the pending results that had been delayed earlier.
In addition to clearing the academic backlog, the bench imposed a penalty of three lakh rupees on each institution found to have listed duplicate faculty members in their records. The fine is intended to deter irregularities in faculty appointments and ensure compliance with regulatory norms.
The court further mandated that every affected college plant fifty saplings as part of an environmental remediation measure. The combined directives aim to restore confidence among nursing students and uphold the integrity of nursing education in the state.
Stakeholders, including college administrators and student bodies, have welcomed the decision, noting that it provides immediate relief to students awaiting certification and employment opportunities.
