Madhya Pradesh handed e‑scooters and transport funds to over 7,400 top students, with CM Mohan Yadav probing their career goals.
The Madhya Pradesh government distributed e‑scooters and a cash allowance for motorised transport to more than 7,400 meritorious students across the state. The scheme, announced as part of the state’s education incentive programme, aims to reward academic excellence and ease mobility for higher‑education pursuits.
The ceremony took place in Ujjain, where Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav met the beneficiaries individually, asking each about their future aspirations. Several students spoke of ambitions to become chartered accountants, doctors, lawyers and other professionals, prompting the CM to stress the need to translate scholastic success into meaningful careers.
Under the initiative, each selected student receives an e‑scooter along with a monetary grant to cover travel expenses, facilitating daily commutes to colleges, coaching centres and internships. Officials said the distribution will be replicated in other districts, hoping the mobility support will encourage more youth to aim for higher studies and professional growth.
The programme reflects the state’s broader effort to remove transport barriers for talented youth and to nurture a skilled workforce that can contribute to Madhya Pradesh’s socio‑economic development.
