Under Madhya Pradesh’s land‑ownership scheme, 82 rural residents across 17 districts received official ownership documents, with registration and verification streamlined through the SARA app and Sampada 2.0 platform.

Madhya Pradesh’s land‑ownership initiative has handed over ownership documents to 82 villagers spread across 17 districts. The beneficiaries received the certificates after completing digital registration, marking a significant step toward transparent land records in the state.

The process was facilitated through the SARA mobile application and the Sampada 2.0 portal, both designed to simplify verification and reduce paperwork. Users could upload required details, undergo biometric checks and obtain the final title deed within a few days.

State officials highlighted that the digital approach aims to curb disputes, accelerate land‑related services and bring marginalized farmers into the formal property system. They added that the success of this pilot will guide broader rollout across all districts.

Local residents expressed relief at receiving clear proof of ownership, which they said will help in accessing credit and government schemes tied to land assets.
