The Ludhiana Municipal Corporation announced it will sanction development proposals worth Rs 150 crore, aimed at strengthening the city’s infrastructure.
During a recent session of the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation, officials confirmed that development proposals amounting to Rs 150 crore will be approved. The proposals encompass a broad set of urban projects designed to upgrade roads, drainage, public amenities and waste‑management systems across the city.
The corporation said the investment is expected to enhance service delivery for residents and stimulate local economic activity. By improving essential infrastructure, the projects aim to address long‑standing challenges such as traffic congestion and water supply reliability.
Funding for the initiatives will be drawn from the municipal budget together with allocations from the Punjab state government. The corporation will now move to the implementation phase, with detailed project plans to be released in the coming weeks.
