For the past 15 days, continuous heavy rains have kept Lucknow submerged, leaving about 500,000 people displaced and in need of relief.
For the last fifteen days, Lucknow has been under a relentless deluge, with water levels rising in many parts of the city and keeping streets and neighborhoods submerged.
The sustained flooding has displaced roughly 500,000 residents, many of whom have been forced to seek shelter in temporary camps or higher ground. Critical infrastructure such as roads, schools and markets has been severely affected, disrupting daily life and commerce.
Local authorities have deployed emergency teams and set up relief camps, distributing food, water and essential supplies. The state government has also requested additional resources from the central government to accelerate rescue and rehabilitation efforts.
