Lovlina Borgohain Blasts Glasgow Restaurant Over Misleading India Map

Olympic bronze medallist Lovlina Borgohain took to social media to denounce a Glasgow restaurant for showcasing an inaccurate map of India that left out the Northeast states and misrepresented the Jammu & Kashmir region. The boxer, who has been a vocal advocate for Indian sports and national pride, posted a photo of the map with annotations highlighting the omissions.
The restaurant’s map, according to Borgohain, failed to include Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Sikkim, while also depicting Jammu & Kashmir in a way that did not reflect its current administrative status. She urged the establishment to correct the depiction to respect the country’s territorial integrity.
There has been no public response from the Glasgow establishment to date. The incident has sparked a broader conversation on the importance of accurate cartographic representations in public spaces.
