LoP Sharma Blames Government for Using J&K Statehood Debate to Mask Governance Lapses

LoP Sharma, a political figure, said the government is exploiting the Jammu and Kashmir statehood demand to shift focus away from its own administrative shortcomings.
He made the remarks in an interview with Kashmir Life, asserting that the statehood narrative is being weaponized to deflect criticism over service delivery, infrastructure and law‑and‑order lapses.
Sharma urged the authorities to address governance issues directly rather than relying on political rhetoric, and called for transparent dialogue on the status of J&K.
