The Indore Lokayukta conducted raids at three cooperative manager locations, confiscating assets valued in the crores.
The Lokayukta of Madhya Pradesh carried out simultaneous raids at three premises linked to a cooperative manager in Indore. Officials entered the sites, secured the premises and seized assets that officials said amount to several crore rupees, including cash, jewellery and documents.
The operation is part of the Lokayukta’s intensified anti‑corruption drive aimed at curbing misuse of public funds in cooperative institutions. Under the state’s anti‑corruption law, the Lokayukta has the authority to search, seize and freeze property suspected to be acquired through illicit means.
Authorities have lodged a formal case against the cooperative manager and will submit a detailed report to the district magistrate for further action. The seized assets will be held as evidence while the investigation proceeds.
