With a 67.66% turnout, counting of votes in Kota's 100‑ward municipal election is in progress, and the BJP, Congress and independent candidates have already secured victories in several wards.
The Kota Municipal Corporation election, covering all 100 wards, has seen a voter turnout of 67.66 percent, according to the latest figures released by the election officials. Out of a total electorate of 8,26,923, 5,59,485 voters have cast their ballots so far.
Counting of the votes is currently underway, and early results indicate that candidates from the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Indian National Congress and independent contenders have all managed to win seats in a number of wards. The split in victories reflects a competitive multi‑cornered contest across the city.
