Khisama Landslide Blocks NH-2, Halts Manipur Supply Line, Isolates Southern Kohima

A massive landslide at Khisama on National Highway 2 has closed the road for several hours, halting the flow of goods and vehicles to and from Manipur. The blockage has severed the main supply line that connects the state to the rest of the country, causing delays in the delivery of essential items.

Transport authorities have begun clearing the debris, but the road remains impassable for the time being. The incident has also cut off the southern part of Kohima, the capital of Nagaland, from the rest of the city.

Local officials are coordinating with state agencies to expedite the removal of the landslide material and restore connectivity. Residents in the affected areas have been advised to use alternate routes while the highway is being cleared.
