Khelo India Dialogue programmes conducted across Mizoram

New Delhi – Under the Khelo India initiative, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports organized a series of Dialogue programmes in multiple districts of Mizoram. The sessions brought together state officials, local sports administrators, coaches and young athletes to review the progress of sports schemes and identify gaps in infrastructure and training.

Participants examined the implementation of grassroots programmes, talent identification mechanisms and the allocation of funds for facilities in the northeastern state. The dialogues also provided a platform for stakeholders to propose recommendations for enhancing participation in athletics, football and indigenous games.

The Ministry emphasized that such engagements are crucial for aligning national sports policies with regional needs, aiming to boost Mizoram’s performance in upcoming national competitions. The programmes are part of a broader effort to nurture sporting talent across India’s diverse states.
