A large-scale anti-encroachment drive in Khandwa has successfully reclaimed 105 hectares of forest land. The operation involved a significant deployment of personnel and machinery.
Khandwa district in Madhya Pradesh has witnessed a massive operation to remove encroachments from forest land. Approximately 600 personnel and 30 JCB machines were deployed for this extensive drive.
The coordinated effort resulted in the clearing of 105 hectares of forest land that was under illegal occupation. This action is aimed at restoring these areas for future afforestation.
Following the removal of encroachments, plans are in place to develop 9,000 contour trenches. These trenches are intended to help in conserving water and facilitating the regeneration of the forest cover in the reclaimed areas.
