The Karnataka government has announced the launch of the second edition of the Bengaluru Skill Summit, aimed at boosting skill development and employment opportunities in the state.

Bengaluru, Karnataka – The state government officially unveiled plans for the second Bengaluru Skill Summit, a platform intended to bring together industry leaders, training providers and job seekers. The summit will focus on identifying skill gaps, showcasing emerging technologies and facilitating partnerships that can translate into new employment avenues.

Organisers said the event will feature panel discussions, workshops and exhibitions that highlight successful skill‑training models across sectors such as manufacturing, IT and services. Participants are expected to include representatives from the Ministry of Skill Development, corporate firms, educational institutions and NGOs.

The announcement underscores Karnataka's continued emphasis on upskilling its workforce to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving economy. Officials indicated that details on dates, venues and registration will be released in the coming weeks.

Stakeholders have welcomed the initiative, noting that regular skill summits can accelerate the alignment of training programs with industry needs, thereby improving job placement rates for the state's youth.

The second edition follows the inaugural summit held last year, which reportedly attracted over a thousand delegates and resulted in several collaborative projects aimed at enhancing vocational education in the region.
