Karnataka BJP is probing alleged cross-voting by its MLAs in the recent Legislative Council elections. Party chief B Y Vijayendra announced a meeting at Dharmasthala where MLAs may take an oath before Lord Manjunatha.

The Karnataka unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is initiating an internal inquiry into suspected cross-voting by its Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) during the recent Legislative Council polls. The ruling Congress party had secured a significant victory in these elections, prompting the BJP's investigation.

To ascertain the truth behind the alleged betrayal, Karnataka BJP President B Y Vijayendra has called for a legislature party meeting. This meeting is scheduled to take place at the prominent pilgrimage site of Dharmasthala. During the gathering, MLAs may be asked to take an oath before Lord Manjunatha, a revered deity, in an effort to uncover those responsible for the cross-voting.

Vijayendra has described the alleged incident as a grave matter that the party intends to pursue diligently. The objective is to address the concerns of party workers and restore their confidence following the election results.
