Justice V. Kameswar Rao was sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Patna High Court on Tuesday at the court’s premises in Patna.

Justice V. Kameswar Rao took the oath of office on Tuesday at the Patna High Court, becoming the court’s new chief justice. The ceremony was conducted by the Governor of Bihar, who administered the oath to the judge. Mr. Rao, who previously served as a judge on the same bench, is expected to oversee the administration of justice in the state’s largest high court. His appointment follows the recommendation of the Collegium and the approval of the President of India. The new chief justice will now be responsible for assigning cases, managing court staff and ensuring the efficient functioning of the judiciary in Bihar.
