The Jammu & Kashmir government has completed digitisation of 70 lakh land parcels and resolved 13 lakh discrepancies in the land records system.

The Jammu & Kashmir government has announced the completion of digitising 70 lakh land parcels across the state, a major step in modernising land administration.
The initiative, part of the state’s e‑governance drive, also addressed 13 lakh discrepancies identified in the land records, ensuring more accurate property data.
Officials said the digital database will improve transparency, reduce disputes and facilitate easier access for citizens and investors.
The project was carried out by the Department of Land Records and Survey with support from IT specialists and local surveyors, and is expected to be fully integrated into the state’s online portal by the end of the year.
