Doctors in Jharkhand have called for the implementation of the Doctors' Attendance and Compensation Policy (DACP) and warned that they will halt medical services across the state from 22 October if demands are not met.

Doctors from the state of Jharkhand have formally demanded the immediate implementation of the Doctors' Attendance and Compensation Policy (DACP), citing long-standing grievances over delayed payments and inadequate attendance monitoring.

The medical fraternity has announced that, if the government does not comply with the demands, it will initiate a statewide work boycott starting 22 October, affecting both public and private healthcare facilities.

The Jharkhand Health Ministry has yet to issue a definitive response, but officials have indicated that they are reviewing the policy proposal and will engage with the doctors’ association in the coming days.

Health experts warn that a prolonged boycott could disrupt routine medical services, particularly in rural districts where doctors are already scarce.
