Jammu and Kashmir has been ranked the best-performing Union Territory in providing Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana cards to frontline workers.
The ranking was released based on the percentage of frontline workers who have received Ayushman Bharat cards in the Union Territory. Jammu and Kashmir achieved the highest coverage among all UTs, surpassing others such as Delhi and Ladakh.
Frontline workers covered under the scheme include healthcare personnel, police personnel, sanitation staff and other essential service providers who were prioritized during the pandemic.
Officials said the achievement reflects the effective outreach and implementation of the Ayushman Bharat scheme in the region, ensuring health security for those on the front lines.
