Former BJP minority front chief Jamal Siddiqui visited Jaipur, met spiritual leader Sant Kamlesh Ji Maharaj and described himself as a ‘Sanatani Muslim’, while urging the Congress to rethink its stance on the Vande Mataram controversy.
Jamal Siddiqui, who previously headed the BJP’s minority front, arrived in Jaipur and paid a visit to the ashram of Sant Kamlesh Ji Maharaj. The meeting was held in the presence of the saint’s close aides and a few local dignitaries.
During the discussion, Siddiqui said he identifies as a ‘Sanatani Muslim’, emphasizing that his religious outlook aligns with the broader cultural traditions of India. He added that such a synthesis can help bridge communal gaps and promote inclusive development.
