The Air Quality Index in three Jaipur localities—Sitapura, Mansarovar and Shastri Nagar—has risen to the Poor category, according to the latest readings reported by Sangri Today.
The latest air‑quality monitoring data released by Sangri Today shows that the AQI in Sitapura, Mansarovar and Shastri Nagar has moved into the Poor bracket. The three neighbourhoods in Jaipur recorded values that exceed the safe threshold, prompting the categorisation as Poor.
In the Indian AQI system, a Poor rating corresponds to values between 151 and 200, indicating that sensitive groups may experience health effects and the general public should limit prolonged outdoor exertion.
Health officials typically advise residents to wear masks, keep windows closed and avoid outdoor exercise when the index stays in this range. The municipal corporation has been urged to intensify dust‑control measures and increase public awareness.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation through the city's network of monitoring stations, and further updates will be issued if the index worsens or improves.
