Jaipur Police Ban DJ Music After 10 PM, Alcohol Sales After Midnight from Sept 30

From September 30, Jaipur’s police will prohibit the use of sound‑amplifying equipment in bars and clubs after 10 p.m., and ban alcohol sales after midnight.
The Rajasthan police issued a new directive for nightlife venues in Jaipur, effective from 30 September. Under the order, any sound‑amplifying devices, including DJ equipment, must be switched off by 10 p.m. in bars, nightclubs and similar establishments.
In addition to the noise curfew, the order mandates that the sale of alcoholic beverages cease at midnight. Establishments that continue to serve alcohol beyond this hour will face penalties as stipulated by local law enforcement.
Police officials said the measures aim to reduce noise pollution and curb late‑night disturbances in residential areas surrounding popular entertainment spots. The enforcement will be monitored through routine inspections and spot checks.
Venue owners have been advised to adjust their operating schedules accordingly and to inform patrons of the new timings to ensure compliance and avoid fines.
