The sequel to the blockbuster Jailer has shattered box‑office records worldwide, yet it failed to set a new benchmark in its home state.
The highly anticipated sequel to the hit film Jailer has opened to unprecedented success across international markets, setting new box‑office records in several overseas territories. The film’s worldwide gross has surpassed the combined earnings of its predecessor, marking a significant milestone for the franchise.
Despite the global triumph, the film did not achieve a comparable breakthrough in its home state, where expectations were high. While audiences in other regions flocked to theatres, the domestic performance fell short of the record‑breaking figures seen abroad.
Industry analysts attribute the disparity to a combination of factors, including release timing and competition from other local releases. Nevertheless, the worldwide success underscores the film’s broad appeal and the growing influence of Indian cinema on the global stage.
