In a sting operation, the Lokayukta caught a clerk, Nokhelal Belya, red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000. The incident occurred at the Narayanpur BEEO office in Mandla. The clerk had demanded Rs 8,000 from a peon to process a GPF withdrawal of Rs 1 lakh. The Lokayukta team acted swiftly and caught the clerk in the act.
