Indore municipal corporation will shut water supply for 24 hours on Tuesday as the Narmada pipeline is taken offline for repairs, creating a two‑day water shortage.
Indore municipal corporation announced that the city's water supply will be halted for a full 24‑hour period on Tuesday, following a planned shutdown of the Narmada line that feeds the city. The temporary cut is part of scheduled maintenance to address a pipeline leak, replace aging valves and complete an interconnection project. Officials said the work will require the entire day, after which supply is expected to resume by Wednesday evening. Residents have been urged to conserve water, store enough for essential uses and make use of alternative distribution points that the corporation will set up across the city during the outage.
