The Indore Municipal Corporation, following a court directive, demolished 8 to 10 illegal structures near the famous Annapurna Temple, sparking demands from displaced shopkeepers for relocation.

The Indore Municipal Corporation, acting on a court order, cleared 8 to 10 illegal shops and buildings that had been operating near the Annapurna Temple. Police assisted in the demolition, which took place over a weekend. Shopkeepers who had been selling puja items were evicted and have demanded a new location for their businesses. The municipal authorities said the action was taken to enforce zoning laws and protect the temple precincts. They have pledged to provide alternative sites for the displaced vendors.
