India to Host 'Taraang Shakti' Air Exercise with 7 Nations, Including First US F‑35 Display

From 26 September to 12 October, Jodhpur will stage the 'Taraang Shakti' air exercise featuring fighters from the US, France, Germany, Australia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and UAE, with the Indian Air Force deploying Rafale, Tejas and other aircraft.
The 'Taraang Shakti' air exercise will run from 26 September to 12 October at Jodhpur Air Force Station in Rajasthan. The event will bring together fighter aircraft from seven countries: the United States, France, Germany, Australia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates. The United States will showcase its F‑35 Lightning II for the first time in this exercise, marking a significant milestone in Indo‑US defence cooperation. Indian Air Force will deploy a mix of Rafale, Tejas, Mirage 2000 and MiG‑29 aircraft, among others, to participate in joint drills and interoperability exercises. The exercise aims to enhance tactical coordination, improve readiness and strengthen diplomatic ties among the participating nations.
