India has announced that Jammu & Kashmir pacer Auqib Nabi will take over Jasprit Bumrah’s place in the upcoming Test squad, marking a significant change in the national team’s bowling lineup.
On Tuesday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that Jammu & Kashmir fast bowler Auqib Nabi will replace Jasprit Bumrah in the national Test squad for the upcoming series against England.<br><br>Nabi, 22, has impressed in domestic circuits with a best of 6/28 in the Ranji Trophy and has been part of India’s Emerging Players squad.<br><br>The decision comes as selectors look to refresh the pace attack after Bumrah’s injury concerns.<br><br>BCCI chief executive officer said Nabi’s inclusion reflects confidence in his ability to perform at the highest level.
