India coach says Kohli, Rohit have edge over New Zealand fielding

India's senior coach highlighted that both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma possess specific strengths that give them an advantage when confronting New Zealand's fielding unit. He noted that their experience at the top level and ability to read the game allow them to adapt quickly to aggressive field placements. The coach added that these attributes are expected to be crucial as the Indian side prepares for the upcoming series in New Zealand. He urged the players to continue honing these skills to maintain the edge in the challenging conditions posed by the host nation's fielding standards.

The explanation comes ahead of the bilateral series, where New Zealand's fielders are known for their athleticism and coordinated pressure. By leveraging their proven techniques and situational awareness, Kohli and Rohit aim to mitigate the impact of such fielding strategies and contribute to India's batting performance.

The coach's comments underscore the importance of adaptability and tactical awareness in modern cricket, especially when facing teams that excel in fielding intensity.
