India and China are set to conduct their first Corps Commander-level talks in Arunachal Pradesh, aiming to improve military coordination along the disputed border.

Today, Indian and Chinese military leaders will hold their first Corps Commander-level talks in Arunachal Pradesh, a region that has seen frequent border skirmishes.

The meeting, scheduled for the morning, will take place at a secure location in Arunachal, with the Indian side represented by the commander of the Northern Command and the Chinese side by the commander of the Eastern Theater Command.

Officials say the talks aim to enhance communication, clarify operational procedures, and reduce the risk of accidental clashes along the Line of Actual Control.

This is the first such engagement at the corps level between the two armies, following earlier high‑level dialogues between defense ministers and senior officers.

Analysts note that the meeting reflects a continued effort by both sides to manage tensions in the region while maintaining strategic stability.
