India has announced an expansion of its legal aid services and digital justice initiatives, aiming to improve access to justice across the country.
The Ministry of Law and Justice has unveiled a comprehensive plan to broaden the reach of legal aid services and digital justice platforms. The initiative seeks to make legal assistance more accessible to citizens, particularly in underserved regions.
Under the new framework, the government will enhance its e‑justice portal, enabling users to file complaints, access court records, and participate in online dispute resolution. The digital platform is designed to streamline case management and reduce the backlog of pending cases.
