The INDIA alliance plans a 3‑kilometre protest march from Parliament House to the Election Commission headquarters today, following the same route used last year.
The INDIA coalition has announced a 3‑kilometre march starting from the Parliament House in New Delhi, aiming to reach the Election Commission (EC) headquarters later today. Organisers say the procession will follow the same corridor they used in a similar demonstration last year, covering key streets in the capital.
The protest is intended to pressure the EC on issues raised by the alliance, although specific grievances have not been detailed in the statement released by the bloc. The march is scheduled to begin in the morning and is expected to conclude by early afternoon, with participants walking the predetermined route.
Security forces have been put on alert, and the Delhi Police have issued advisories to manage traffic and maintain public order along the planned path. Officials have not confirmed any anticipated disruptions, but they are monitoring the situation closely as the march proceeds.
