India and US Launch Joint Military Exercise Centered on Drones and Battle Groups

New Delhi – The Indian armed forces and their U.S. counterparts have kicked off a bilateral exercise aimed at sharpening interoperability in drone usage and battle‑group coordination. The drill, announced by both ministries of defence, marks a continuation of the growing defence partnership between the two nations. Participants are expected to conduct joint simulations that test command‑and‑control links, real‑time data sharing and tactical employment of unmanned aerial systems. The focus on drones reflects the increasing role of unmanned platforms in modern warfare, while the battle‑group component seeks to harmonise naval and ground force operations across the two militaries.
