Senior military officials from India and China are slated to meet soon to discuss the ongoing friction along the Arunachal Pradesh border, sources said.
New Delhi sources said that the corps commanders of the Indian Army and the People’s Liberation Army will convene in the coming days to address the heightened friction along the disputed Arunachal Pradesh frontier. The talks are expected to be held through established military-to-military channels, aiming to prevent any inadvertent escalation and to manage the on‑ground situation. Both sides have repeatedly expressed a willingness to resolve border issues through dialogue, even as patrol clashes and infrastructure projects have kept the region tense. Analysts note that such high‑level meetings are a standard part of the confidence‑building measures that have been in place since the 2020 standoff. The outcome of the discussion could shape the tone of future engagements along the Line of Actual Control in the eastern sector.
